REEL BIG FISH // ANTHOLOGY IN ROCHESTER, NEW YORK

California based ska punk band Reel Big Fish brought their high energy show fromThe Tickle My Tiki Torch Tour around to the people of Rochester, New York. The band played the rock venue Anthology on Saturday (10/20/18) to a crowd ranging of all ages. This is something that I truly love about the band as they don’t only attract their older crowd from the 1990’s, the year in which they surfaced the scene, but they also attract a crowd of teens, sometimes even younger, as the band is overall just a good time for everyone. They are one of the only bands I know of which have a horn section and yet get crowd surfers for every single song.
I got the pleasure to see the band for the second time around but this time playing their own show for an overpacked venue, the most crowded I think I have seen the 1,000 person capacity music hall. The set ranged from newer songs to songs off of some of their first few albums the band even played some covers of classics which everyone knows. From start to finish, everyone was moving and there wasn’t a single song where people stood still. Overall, I am excited to hear what the band offers us with their newest release which will mark their 29th release as a Reel Big Fish. Stay tuned for more to come from the band and check out some of the photos I took last Saturday!
