NATALIE SHAY // “PEOPLE LIKE ME” – SINGLE REVIEW

On the heels of success with her 2019 single, The Feeling (which reached number 4 on iTunes) and 2019’s Yesterday, the Twenty-year-old Indie-pop singer Natalie Shay is continuing to make waves with People Like Me. The classically trained guitarist from North London finds a pleasing middle ground between Indie rock and 80s esque electro-pop. The bouncy and effervescent track is accented with fuzzy grunge guitars, and Natalie’s vocals are warm and easy-going with only the tiniest hint of raspiness as sings about the troubles of being an artist and how life on social media is often a mask for real life.
