BRITISH ROCK BAND BASTILLE TURN UP THE VOLUME AT THE GREEK THEATRE

Bastille Brought Doom Days To The Greek And A Lively Show!

South London band Bastille made their return to Los Angeles on Saturday. The band brought their Doom Days Tour Part 1 with opener Joywave to the The Greek Theater. The "Happier" and "Quarter Past Midnight" musicians played a twenty song set to the pack amphitheater of fans. All were thrilled to see their favorite band play under the beautiful nighttime sky.

Indie Rock band Joywave started the night out with their poppy Electronic influenced Rock. The band lead by Daniel Armbruster started the night off with one of Joywave's newest tracks "Like A Kennedy". They were smooth and effortless on stage. All while having fun managing to make good use of their relatively short set. Joywave played a nice variety of tracks from their career. Joywave properly closed their set with their latest single "Obsession".

Los Angeles came through for Bastille last weekend. Fans had been waiting a while for a proper U.S. concert tour for the Doom Days album. It was finally here. Bastille came out to a raucous and roaring number of cheers and excitement. Opening with their huge Alternative Rock radio hit "Quarter Past Midnight". Frontman Dan Smith was full of energy and his vocals on point. The fans singing along with him to every word. Bastille's overall performance and sound is always pretty cohesive, but tonight seemed to be extra special and tight. The guys were in a lively fun mood as they played through a twenty song set. That was a mix across three albums and one mixtape.

Crowd faves like "Happier", "Bad Blood", "Flaws", and "Of The Night" had everyone on their feet throughout the set. We also finally got to hear the much asked for "The Waves". Dan even surprised the audience bringing out one of his Best Laid Plans records artists, The Dawn Of May. The Dawn Of May sang with him and the rest of the band on "World Gone Mad" and "Doom Days". The night ended on the quintessentially British track "Million Pieces". Then the song that made the band who they are, "Pompeii". Bastille brought out tourmates Joywave on "Pompeii" for an epic finale. You can check out my photos of Bastille and Joywave from the show all down below!

Until then,
