SINGER AND PRODUCER DWY WAXES NOSTALGIA ON NEW SINGLE "BMX"

South London singer and producer DWY (pronounced 'dee-wee') has released a new experimental track called "BMX" that's a must-listen. The artist is signed to Loud Robot, the subsidiary record label of J.J. Abrams Bad Robot Productions. DWY is set to release his debut mixtape "8-Bit Memories" along with a coordinating short film about various forms of nostalgia and relationships next year. Nostalgia is something "BMX" is dripping in, starting with the bass-laden opening notes. DWY's use of nostalgic lyrical imagery sets up this hazy track. It allows the listener to conjure up those feelings throughout the song, while he reminisces about riding on his "BMX" as a teen and smoking cigarettes. The music achieves that as well from the 90s R&B inspired melodies, to the Hip-Hop inflections on his vocal delivery, and with some of the more organic instrumentation. All of this gives "BMX" the much-needed ingredients for the perfect chill-out track. You can stream the song below.
