YOU SHOULD KNOW: DIY EXPERIMENTAL POP ARTIST KAELA

‘Spiral’ by Kaela is an eclectic must listen!

If you don’t know Los Angeles based musician Kaela (Sinclair) by name you soon will. After working with some of today’s biggest artists like M83 and Troye Sivan. Kaela has spent more than a decade producing, and songwriting. She just released a new solo project, the gorgeously atmospheric single entitled ‘Spiral‘. Kaela effuses strong emotions of a breakup that keeps repeating onto the track. She hones in on her production skills and strengths to give the track a retro DIY feel reminiscent of the 80s. Lush synths populate amongst the staccato beats and fun pop rhythms. Setting it all against a backdrop of experimental and sparse soundscapes. ‘Spiral‘ itself, in all its stillness or a soft quiet in the vocals, sends a truly potent message about love and loss. Instead, she chooses to use those moments, and the music surrounding it to speak. You can learn more about the artist as well stream the new song below.
