The new(ish) Indie Pop/Rock band are one the industry’s most exciting live music acts Indie Rock quartet Glass Animals brought their groovy brand of heat to Hollywood Forever on Sunday with the ‘Dreamland’ tour. It’s a funky blend of nostalgic meets vaporwave that permeates the album but the shows as well. The tour featured the Electro Pop newcomer Binki as the opener. He played a short and engaging set closing out with “Heybb!”. A song you’ve most likely heard from its prominence of being in an Apple iPad commercial. Bastille Brought Doom Days To The Greek And A Lively Show! South London band Bastille made their return to Los Angeles on Saturday. The band brought their Doom Days Tour Part 1 with opener Joywave to the The Greek Theater. The “Happier” and “Quarter Past Midnight” musicians played a twenty song set to the pack amphitheater of fans. All were thrilled to see their favorite band play under the beautiful nighttime sky. Songwriter and Pop singer Marina (formerly Marina and The Diamonds) brought her Love + Fear tour to The Greek Theatre this past Friday, October 4th. The artist known for her songs like “Primadonna” and “Orange Trees” brought her A-game with strong and gorgeous vocals. Marina’s performance also included choreographed interpretive dance routines from her and her color-coordinated dancers and back up singers. It was to match a notable look that night from Marina. Last Thursday (September 26th) Alternative Rock Singer-songwriter Barns Courtney brought The 404 Tour to Los Angeles at The Fonda Theatre. The artist released his second studio album 404 and is touring in support of that release with the English band The Hunna. Both hit the stage performing favorite tracks like “Hollow”, “You and I”, and, “She’s Casual” making sure fans left super happy. The Hunna opened the night with their specific brand of energetic and cohesive punk rock, making for a fantastic start to the show. Frank Iero and The Future Violents brought the Barriers World Tour to its concluding stop at The Troubadour this past Saturday. The band was touring on the heels of it’s newest release Barriers with openers Geoff Rickly and Low Speech. The support remains high for the former My Chemical Romance member. With many fans lining up early for the 8:00 PM door time and wearing band tees from some of Frank’s former musical endeavors. The first act onstage was Low Speech, their opening set was loud, fun yet quite melodic. They got the crowd all warmed up and singing along in a short amount of time. Forest Hills Stadium which is primarily used to host tennis events, was filled with music fans from all five boroughs of New York City. The city which never sleeps had come to hear The Lumineers, an indie/alternative band headline the first ever Summer Open hosted by radio station Alt 92.3. As fans swayed along to every song, hummed along to every lyric they knew throughout the entire headlining set, The Lumineers created a moment that you wish you could bottle up. Electronic Indie Pop duo Frenship (James Sunderland and Brett Hite) finished out their Vacation Tour with the last two stops in Southern California. Here at The Reclusive Blogger, we were lucky enough to see the guys at The Fonda Theater last Friday (June 14th). From song one the band put on a show from amazing coordinated dance moves, to live duo drumming, and just all around great and catchy pop music. Pop Rock band Hey Violet delivered an highly energetic and fun set at The Troubadour this past Thursday (May 30th), to an enthusiastic crowd of fans. The opener was Pop R&B newcomer Sage Charmaine whose stage presence was effervescent, her songs spunky and fun. Yet it was clear the audience was there for Hey Violet.
