Anna Volpe is the New York City native and singer-songwriter whose indie pop songs and passionate storytelling are garnering her attention. Anna has just released a new single “Call My Name” that’s the title track off her upcoming debut EP (that is set to be released on June 21st). The song showcases her rich timbre against twangy guitars, a few electronic instruments, and sparse drum sounds which highlight Anna’s vocals. The track as a whole feels like it straddles new rock and old folk, and quite well. Anna’s nimble lyrical storytelling shining best of all, with themes love, lost and being hopeful that love (and the one that got away) truly didn’t get away at all.
