GIRL WILDE // “FAKE LOUIS” - SINGLE REVIEW

Alex Barnes otherwise known as Girl Wilde has released another angsty and fun single. 'Fake Louis' features Alex’s raspy yet soft vocals (showing off hints of early Fiona Apple in just the right places) highlighting the mid-tempo electro-rock number. The track is also an introspective one lyrically. It speaks to the singers' ups and downs in struggling with her sense of self. In dealing with ones quirks no matter how weird, or big or small. The backstory though is quite funny and the songs origin story. Girl Wilde would carry around a fake designer bag and her friends nicknamed it her 'Fake Louis'. Girl Wilde so aptly turned an odd joke amongst friends into a song that is easily relatable and enjoyable.

Girl Wilde on 'Fake Louis' is proving to be an artist that does her own thing. She doesn't fit into any particular one genre or just tick one box. So if you want a song you can not only rock out to but will have you in your feels.
