Well, readers, it’s that time of year again. It’s time for The Reclusive Blogger’s Top Sixty Songs of 2025. While compiling the list is not always an easy task. It is a fun one and easily one of my favorite things I look forward to each year as a music journalist and music fan. Many of the songs on this year’s list are ones that have been on repeat in my head for months, have lyrics that resonate deeply or personally, or songs that, to me, clearly defined the rapidly evolving musical landscape of 2025—a landscape in which genres tend to blur and blend. In 2025, all music was pop, and there were no limits creatively.
Now, without further ado, here are the sixty songs (yes, 60) that made the list in what was another fantastically weird, albeit chaotic year in music.
